Satao Elerai Lodge & Camp is located in Amboseli in a 5000 acres private conservation area. It is in a quiet and unspoilt area of Amboseli. The camp looks down to Amboseli National Park in one direction and another direction to Mt.Kilimanjaro. Since it is located in a private conservancy guests are sure of watching the wildlife in privacy.

Accommodation

Satao Elerai Lodge & Camp has got 9 deluxe mountain facing tents and 5 large luxurious lodge style suites. All the tents and suites are ensuite and the suites have luxurious baths. The rooms are designed in such a way that your stay at the camp is in complete luxury with huge beds and with top quality mattresses and pillow for comfortable sleep. Private verandah provided by the large sliding doors gives you a good view of the plains. The large balcony’s have a relaxing bed for you to take in the ambience of the area. Most of the times you can see the animals’ pass by from the comfort of your room. All the bathrooms have a view. There is hot water supplied by eco-friendly solar units.

1. Satao Elerai Community & Wildlife trust is the vehicle which finds ways and means for the Maasai community to live in harmony with the wildlife and environment around them. This is done by assisting with education, securing additional lands for conservation and helping out with the community projects

2. The land is leased from the local elerai community thus together with the community Satao ensures that the land is free from poachers, charcoal burners and encroachment from agriculture and development
