Mara Intrepids is a short drive from the Mara River. It enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the world’s best known wilderness. In 2004 some 75% of the footage for the BBC’s famous Big Cat Diary was shot in the vicinity of the camp. The camp offers some of the world’s finest game viewing.

Mara Intrepids has 30 luxury tents which are widely spread across a large riverside site to ensure guests the optimum of privacy and peace. Each tent is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris with large 4 poster beds with ensuite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. Each tent is on a shady raised platform with views over the riverbanks where a large variety of animals come to drink.

Responsible Tourism
- Most of the staff at Mara Intrepids come from the local Maasai Community
- Part of the fees at Mara Intrepids are channeled into local community initiatives like environmental awareness training, establishment of medical clinics and financial support for primary schools, churches and women’s groups
- Hot water is generated by burning used coffee husks
- Biodegradable waste is mulched for compost
- Wastewater is recycled through the camps own on site constructed wetland
