Accommodation

This lodge has got only 7 sumptuous tented suites that have been built on raised platforms that provide delightful panoramic views down onto the Mara River and the woodland on the bank opposite. The tents are elegant and spacious with polished mahogany flooring and provide an open plan sleeping and living area, complete with fireplace, bathroom with massage shower, open air bath, hand wash basin and flushing toilet. Comfortable seating is provided both in the living area and on the terrace so that the true tranquility of the lodge can be best appreciated. The distance between each suite has been maximized to reduce any risk of disturbance that may be caused from other guests. There is also a honeymoon suite isolated from the main lodge with an integral plunge pool.

2. 70% of Staff at Ngerende are employed from the local maasai community
3. Solar panels are used for heating water and solar pumps are used for pumping water from borehole
4. Harvesting of rain water for reuse for irrigation on the lodge lawns
5. In the process of investing in solar panels to work with inverters to stop reliance on generator
